Gaucho Pampa Alpaca Poncho - Charcoal & Ecru
A spiritual symbol of Mapuche Indians from the Andes, the pampa symbol is a design found in the gauchos' ponchos from Argentina to Uruguay. With this inspiration, we selected the finest alpaca and worked with Peruvian artisans to hand-weave this heirloom treasure. Each poncho takes weeks on the loom using a traditional South-American weave-style called encajonado, hand tying off the design at every juncture. This poncho is soft with a heavy weight like wearing a warm hug. Features a classic slit neckline with hand-stitched reinforcement. Unisex poncho or him or her.
