Farm to Fieldside Jackson Hole
Magical things began to happen when I crossed over into Wyoming on this "Airstream Wild West Polo Tour". I fell head over heels with the polo fields of Sheridan and Jackson. From the Big Horn and Flying H Polo Clubs of Sheridan to the Jackson Hole Polo Club, the jaw dropping backdrops of the hills and mountain ranges of Wyoming are captivating. Whether exploring on horseback or towing the Airstream Pop Up Shop, I have loved every second.

Sheridan has a true wild west flavor with its deep rooted horse, Indian, and cowboy cultures. The iconic King's Saddlery is located in downtown Sheridan and known for Western tack, ropes, and all things cowboy. Polo in Sheridan is big with numerous fields and serious players hauling in horses from many parts of the United States. The U.S. Polo Association hosts Team USPA training youth players in polo and equestrian skills. This weekend, the Sheridan Rodeo is a big attraction featuring the famous Indian Relay Races. For a true cowboy fix in a stunning setting, Sheridan is a must stop.
Nestled in the majestic peaks of Yellowstone and the Tetons is the Jackson Hole Polo Club. As family friendly as you can be, this club has certainly hit a soft spot. The beauty, the people and the multitude of things to do around Jackson make for a special polo and family adventure. From trekking via horseback into the mountains, floating the rivers, going to the rodeo and playing amazing family, countryside style polo, this has been a special part of our trip.
To celebrate summer and our visit in Jackson, we prepared a beautiful farm-to-fieldside dinner. As the Stick & Ball collection is available for retail at the Amangani Hotel, we teamed up with Chef Brad Pryor from their kitchen to explore all things local and fresh in the area. I spent many days combing the farmer's markets and meeting with local growers, including Lockhart Cattle Co., Cosmic Apple, Lark Meadow Farms and an incredible hydroponic garden located in downtown Jackson called Vertical Harvest. Our local, seasonal menu was paired with incredible wines from Hess Collection's Napa, Sonoma and Salta vineyards. The collaboration with these regional growers, Hess Collection wines, Chef Pryor and the many hands from the Jackson Hole Polo Community made for a simply magical evening on the polo field.
We will miss Wyoming and the wonderful people we have met along the way. Next stop, Aspen!
Cheers,
Elizabeth
