Elizabeth Goodwin Welborn lives the life her brand celebrates. A native of South Louisiana and longtime San Francisco Bay Area resident, she is a designer, polo player, mother, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She founded Stick & Ball in the fall of 2011, drawing on her love of horses and fashion and on a life shaped by the Deep South, the West Coast, Latin America, and her travels around the world.

Elizabeth took up polo in the rolling hills of Sonoma and Marin Counties, where the cow pastures, dairy farms, old barns, wild turkeys, and horse paddocks in her own backyard recalled the South American landscapes she had come to love. It was there — between matches and the farm-to-table charity events she hosted — that her vision for a global, polo-inspired, and sustainable lifestyle brand took shape.

Since our beginning, we have grown to include Italian vegetable-tanned leather accessories, linens, silks, and home décor — each made from the finest sustainable fibers and finished by hand, many by local artisans. We look forward to sharing our designs, stories, and inspirations with you.
